Meredith Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 Hello,My name is MeredithI live in Brisbane, Austrlalia and have stumbled across this forum site whilst madly searching for an answer to something that is puzzling me. I am a mum with a degree in Psychology and not all of the answers that my 5 year old asks me about the world. I should be cleaning and wrapping presents but there's a strange force in my home... Do DO Do do (twilight zone-ish segue) My house seems to be magnetic. I guess I have to wait to post a proper question but it is what brings me here to pick your brains. Hope I am welcome to do so. Happy DaysMeredith Quote
Drum Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 I am only new here myself Meredith .... however .. Whats your question  Drum Quote
Meredith Posted December 22, 2007 Author Report Posted December 22, 2007 Hi Drum,I just managed to post the question in the watercoooler.Took me Agggggggggggggges to decide where I should put my potentially silly question about objects in my home turning magnetic on me. I noticed it first when small metal things I used to make jewellery stuck to the fridge and a screwdriver and screw were very attracted to each other. I am wonder if this is normal or if there is something wacky with our wiring. Thanks for your reply. All the bestMeredith Quote
Michaelangelica Posted December 26, 2007 Report Posted December 26, 2007 Hello, I am a mum with a degree in Psychology and not all of the answers that my 5 year old asks me about the world. I should be cleaning and wrapping presents but there's a strange force in my home... Welcome Meredith.Lots of Ozzies here. Kids teach you a lot don't they. Are you getting the rain? Magnetism has a lot to do with electricityI will ask a friend who is heavily into Tessler (sp?) about it My suggestion is to call it a Religious Miracle made by God to cure people of arthritis or whatever. Some tomato sauce on the walls might help too. Get lots of religious pictures from Op shops and garage sales. You charge a $20 entrance fee and pretty soon have enough $ for a better (non-magnetic) house and a thriving (non-taxable?) business. Of course you could also be sitting on the biggest potential iron ore mine in Queensland? PSDo you have a steel or wood framed house? Quote
Meredith Posted December 26, 2007 Author Report Posted December 26, 2007 Thanks for your reply - I am loving the idea of an open house of the magnetic miracle. Of course my own bit of arthritis would need to be cured first to make it a legitimate claim ... but I'll search eBay for statues and religious paintings just in case. Our house got termites (felt a bit like getting nits) so I figure we have an old fashioned wood framed house. We did get a lot of the rain here - better here than over the Boxing Day test, now *THAT* is an official miracle. Who would have figured God for a cricket fan... On the magnetic thing, I still have yet to find the earth stake that Drum spoke about... Whilst hunting for it amongst the many weeds (that I am trying to convince folks are the perfect drought tolerant plants) I'll dig a little deeper for that Iron Ore mine. Now THERE'S a thriving business I can run from home. All the bestMeredith Michaelangelica 1 Quote
