Biomajor Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 We had some blackeye peas that had been in a container in our fridge since about the week before Thanksgiving. Well, we forgot about them and my roommate pulled it out today and looked inside to find the weirdest growth ever! I wish I had taken a picture of it before I poked around in it! No kidding...it looked just like a small beaver was living in there! There was a large puff of "fur" on one side of the beans that was brown with with black "fur"...very long too! I've seen alot of growths on food, but never anything like this! I've been trying to find it on the internet, but no luck yet. Anyone have any idea what this could have been? It looked like a freaking animal living in that bucket! It scared me when I looked inside! I actually jumped and quickly put the lid back on for fear the creature was going to jump out at me! lol :) Quote
freeztar Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 I'm not sure exactly what that is, but it sounds like a type of mold. Quote
