gthyne Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 I have never joined a forum before so hopefully this works. An introduction - humm. I just wanted to post a message to answer some of the questions that arose dealing with oceanic sequestration and carbonic acid. While I appreciate the Widipekia approach to knowledge, the source is pretty light in content. Oceanography and geochemisty are areas of science that I know something about. Based on the discussion, there appeared to be an incomplete understanding of the proposed oceanic sequestration plans. Most of the the CO2 will be in the supercritical state, which means liquid-like density (still lighter than water). This material will dissolve into the seawater and form carbonic acid. After I can post I will submit a useful link on the subject. Quote
