Queso Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 so i've heard things here and there that einstein smoked weed.true or false? :hyper: Quote
Tormod Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 I wouldn't know but somehow I doubt it. Not sure why - maybe his religious views stopped him from doing it. If he *ever* tried it or not - now that's a difficult question... Quote
sanctus Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 I know that it arrived that he got really drunk (in the GEO-magazine), so it may as well be possible Quote
Buffy Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 Now that would be a museum piece for the Institute for Advanced Studies: Einstein's hash pipe... :hyper: I assume that's just anti-semitic propaganda, or wishful thinking by the potheads... Cheers,Buffy Quote
Queso Posted February 3, 2005 Author Report Posted February 3, 2005 interesting, thanks for the replies. must just have been the wishful thinking. Quote
maddog Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 interesting, thanks for the replies. must just have been the wishful thinking.I can't imagine that he needed to. He just thought way naturally. :hyper: Maddog Quote

Fishteacher73 Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 A bit off thread, but have you read Terrence McKenna, Orbsycli? I think you would dig it if you have not. BTW isn't Orbsycli a fungal species? Quote
Queso Posted February 3, 2005 Author Report Posted February 3, 2005 i have no idea! to be honest i was just writing one day, and the word popped out. something slightly symbolic, and slightly random. bah, i figured it was too good to be true.and no, i havn't read anything by that author, and i think now is the time to do so.thanks. Fishteacher73 Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 He was/is (I think he died not too long ago, but may be wrong). Did a TON of personal experiments involving halucinogens. Basicly traveled the world and tried any culture's mind altering drugs. Wrote a number of books on his travels and experiences. A spoken word album or two and a comp. album w/ Space Time Continuum (An experimental ambient elctronic band. Kind of interesting). Quote
Queso Posted February 3, 2005 Author Report Posted February 3, 2005 wow sounds like my kind of music/reading. thanks again, i'll look into him today. Quote
[email protected] Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 Terrence Mckenna was one of the champions of the substance-taking branch of the higher conscioussness aficianados. Timothy Leary was another. I never forgave Terrance for saying" the universe is not only stranger than we suppose it is, it's stranger than we CAN suppose it is." Nice line, but he never mentioned who he stole it from. Who did he steal it from? I forget. Quote
