Yeah, that's what I thought too until I found my youngest son was storing opened bottles of apple juice in his pretend fridge and drinking them in spite of (or because of) the fermentation of the contents!

I've kept more than one eye on him over the years, now he's 20 and on the honor roll at UNC Chapel Hill. I think he turned out pretty good:hihi:

So i have finally tried all 3 labels of Chimay, I rather liked the red label, its really smooth, and has a cooper's feel to it. I thought the blue label was a bit harsh, it's definitely for a special mood. The white is rather lite, well, lighter then red, but all really good (especially the large bottles, all the labels :hihi: ).

Not surprisingly, since he did show such an acute perception early on. :applause:

Sounds like a winner to me. :applause:

Another rather interesting Germaner :thumbs_up Llerige

This time a medium ale, it matures in a bottle, i like the bottle craftsmanship, it almost forces some aeration of the beer, just due to the long snout there. Ale is an older style ale, though i have to say that its rather easy to drink, though its far from a smoothly polished Coopers Vintage, but it almost doesn't have to be. It's pretty damn hoppy too, oh and the bottles are numbered and dated from filling. I was rather happy with it :)

found a shot of the bottle online too, see second pic ;)

Just opened a Belhaven Scottish Ale.

It's malty on the front end. Somewhat creamy in the middle, with a nice nutty finish. A very slight hoppy note after the nuttiness dissipates. Not bad. I tend to prefer my beers much hoppier, but I'm enjoying this as it has a very full, well rounded character and gorgeous amber color. :(
