Mike C Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I have a little blackout and no book around. Anyone has a good link or a short explanation in mind which says how the CMB anisotropies are explained by inflation? As far as I know. it doesn't. Inflation preceded the origin of the CMBR that came after matter was transformed from the plasma.I also do not give any credibility to the data derived from the WMAP. Mike C Quote
PhysBang Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Certain kinds of inflation support certain kinds of "seed" inhomogeneities and certain scalar indexes of inhomogeneities (roughly how inhomogeneous the universe is a certain scales). Still, one can have inhomogeneities without inflation. One just needs to posit them as initial conditions (as opposed to positing the conditions necessary for an inflation field as initial conditions). Quote
sanctus Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 I worked on such a seed model, but the other day I asked myself, while comparing results to inflationary models, how inflation explains this anisotropies. So it seems it is just an initial condition thing? Now I think I start to remember a possible scenario is also that little inhomogeneities are created by quantum fluctuations and the rapid expansion during the inflationary phase made that there where non-negligible differences in gravitational potential (which give Sachs-Wolfe and so on). Mike C Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 I just became aware of another reason as to why the BB would be homogeounus. Just before the phase transfer from plasma to matter, the plasma would act like a hot gas that would distribute itself uniformally throughout this closed space. But, sorry, I do not believe in the BBT. Ha ha. Mike C Quote
sanctus Posted February 29, 2008 Author Report Posted February 29, 2008 Not like a hot gas, but as a black body...as data shows the photons leaving at decoupling time (i.e CMB) have a blackbody radiation but you don't believe in that data so... But now, if you take into account quantum fluctuations and inflation the plasma distribution shouldn't be anymore so homogeneous. Quote

sanctus Posted March 7, 2008 Author Report Posted March 7, 2008 Can you give alink to that post/thread, in "the magical creation of the photons" you did not reply for a long while... Quote
Mike C Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Can you give alink to that post/thread, in "the magical creation of the photons" you did not reply for a long while... That post was in another URL that I was on. This was about two years ago.Since that time, my computer was assasinated by a capitalist supporter because of my criticisms of the billionaires. Below is my post on the 'Creation of Photons '. http://hypography.com/forums/astronomy-cosmology/10739-creation-photons.html?highlight=Creation+of+Photons Can you supply your official version or the establishments?
