Experts of the near future say "not much". BANDWIDTH & STORAGEHe who controls data storage controls half of the internet. CD's [1] once the dominant media, now it's DVD and hard drives. The other half is speed and is controlled by either phone or cable company, (possibly a Japanese satellite) and the FCC. Between these 4 entities lies is the axis of all technology: Speed and Space. BLUE-RAYin the process of rendering your Macbook Pro obsolete, The Blue-Ray disc, capable of holding 50 GB of data, will economically stimulate the entire technological market. It's enormous capacity for media will put increased demands on bandwidth speeds, forcing ISP's to lower their prices. This is because when either speed or space increases it demands the other to increase. It's the history of DVD repeating itself, only on a much grander scale.
