Hi Vlad, welcome to Hypography :hihi:

Im afraid I dont know anything about your question.. maybe someone else will. Try searching the forums for six stroke to start and if not you may get more responses by starting a new thread on the topic.

Cheers, Jay

great another crazy Russian.... welcome though no matter how crazy or cool you are still second craziest Russian person here, after me ofcourse

there seems to be little info on the engine, here's what i have found so far:

Inside Bruce Crower’s Six-Stroke Engine - AutoWeek Magazine

Crower six stroke - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basically its your normal 4 stroke engine, with the only difference that after the 4th stroke he injects water into the piston which quickly vaporizes and expands for another power stroke, then the valve is opened and vapor is released. It's technically inappropriate to call it a steam engine, it's more of a gas/steam hybrid, but a really cool concept, considering that water acts as a coolant negating the need for coolant plumbing within engine block, coolant lines, radiators, etc. though as of right now, it seems to me that the engine would be impractical in a cold environment where water can freeze, and using anything but distilled water would leave deposits in the cylinder leading to a shorter life of all the parts in there... but yeah, those are basically your only sources of info, on the wiki page you will find a plethora of patents that pertain to the engine, you may be able to get the patent info on those and that may provide you with more info...

what exactly is of interest to you in this engine? i don't see it as anything super special, and in fact see problems with it that have to be worked out... but yeah when you ask for information, we kind of like to know what exactly you need to find out about the engine... if you are looking for diagrams or scematics, detailed descriptions and exact measurements, you are most likely out of luck as this is a patented design and the owner is higly unlikely going to give anyone any serious information.

The engine is like a year old, and no motor company has agreed to buy it yet...

oh also this system is not applicable in diesels either...

but yeah, what do you want to know about it?

we can speculate pretty well too :earth:

as an example, distilled water is used for injection into the engine, there is a problem with water, namely the fact that it expands as it freezes and that it freezes at 273.15 degrees K. One of the ways to solve that is to create a heating system for water tank and lines, which does not seem to be very energy efficient, if on the other hand you were to pressurize the system, you would now require to have a much more complex water injection system then is most likely built into the prototype.

So post, and we can speculate on what it is you want to find out... :hihi:
