theblackalchemist Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 well you wanted different languages so you got hindi and tamil on your platterTBA;)Well since i also know a little of sanskrit 6=Shastha (pronounced shast(with a heavy T)) shast,shast,shast,shast,shast,shast,...... so i think it resembles .....****:eek2:;):eek2::hihi: Quote
Turtle Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 I asked a fifth-grader and it said carrot, then it said because it has 6 letters when I asked why 'carrot'. I screwed up doing it myself by reading ahead. ;) Quote
REASON Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 While my favorite vegetable may be broccoli, I said "carrots." Notice I used the plural so that blows the six letter explanation for my answer. For me it was very visual. After reading the equations, and then the vegetable question, the image of a carrot just seemed to pop in my head. Hard to explain the correlation, if any. ;) Quote
Turtle Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 While my favorite vegetable may be broccoli, I said "carrots." Notice I used the plural so that blows the six letter explanation for my answer. Not if you misspelled it 'carots'. :D For me it was very visual. After reading the equations, and then the vegetable question, the image of a carrot just seemed to pop in my head. Hard to explain the correlation, if any. You got me thinking what if we change the category of the object from vegetable to something else? ;) Animal? Mineral? Virtue? Vice? Auto? :) Boggles the mind.:) Quote
REASON Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Not if you misspelled it 'carots'. :D Maybe if I mispelled it like "carats." But then I wouldn't have been thinking of vegetables. You got me thinking what if we change the category of the object from vegetable to something else? ;) Animal? Mineral? Virtue? Vice? Auto? :) Boggles the mind.:) Good idea. But if we choose mineral, we may still end up with "carats." :D Quote

It answered marble, but not immediately. Again 6 letters. ;) Quote
jab2 Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 I saw the word carrot in the post so am disqualified from answering, lest I skew the stats. :) The following link from another forum I inhabit has something similar, but let you think about an object and a colour. OutdoorPhoto Quote
Ahmabeliever Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 carrot It was wierd I'm thinking what's the trick I'm not falling for it I knew as soon as I thought carrot you'd say carrot and then thought the association was due to the end of words ix & ot (it). I'm an english speaker. Quote
