peterkosmos Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Hi Arijit - With your post you have combined two of my greatest long-standing fascinations. How did you arrive at the time of 11:11 GMT? That would just be too much, for our age to end at that particular time, considering the significance of that number.
pgrmdave Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 they uinderstood powered flight.. much more impressive for the epoch. but science is still disputing their actual ability to fly. their art points to flying machines of equivelant technology to today but where are the remnants? What evidence points to this? I've never studied Mayan culture, but I was under the impression that they were no further advanced than their european counter parts were.
Tormod Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 this is the end. we have progressed as far as we can. Shut up an play yer guitar! To chime in on toe posted ideas here that the mayans were "above" us in any way: It is an interesting viewpoint. But I would be very interested in knowing how we know this if at the same time they hid their knowledge so we would never find it. So do we just assume they were great or does someone here have extra information that is not available to everyone else? There's a saying that it's better to keep your mouth shut and look like a fool than to open it and prove it. Maybe the Mayans realized this...
