Tormod Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Do you want a laptop or a desktop computer? theblackalchemist 1 Quote
Shyam Bharath Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Buy a normal PC but at the same time ask your vendor for the latest but yet affordable GEForce card or ATI Radeon card installed in it. If possible ask him to demostrate graphics in the shop itself. I am sorry i dunno about other graphics cards... intel's inbuilt cards do not perform as well as GEForce / ATI Quote
theblackalchemist Posted March 24, 2008 Author Report Posted March 24, 2008 i am going to take a desktop computerthe minimum system requirements are well uhh..... minimumwe have a flexible budget. We are going to assemble the comp piece by partok the technician would do that jobit would be helpful if you guys could tell methe speedthe graphic card the motherboard the sound cardthe RAMimportantly more or better than this thingaminga (sorry not much of a comp savvy) min req of crysis /forums/images/smilies/banana_sign.gif intel p4 2.8 Ghzamd anthlon 2800+ intel core 2 Ghzram 1Gb'video adapter more than 256 mb ati radeon 9800 pro etci need a better configso if you could help meit would be nicethanksTBA Quote

Zythryn Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Raid 0 drive system for performance. The faster the drives the better.I would also recommend a 3 monitor setup such as is possible with the digital version of Matrox's TripleHead2Go (Matrox Graphics - GXM - Products - TripleHead2Go Digital Edition). Combine that with 3 24" monitors (the smaller the bevels the better).A pair of GeForce 8800 ultra video cards in SLI mode is nice. Please note, this is all for maximizing gaming, not for holding down the price:) Quote
alexander Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 eeh, i tend to build my systems, or get someone to build them for me, for a better price then at the store, like i gotta have an asus or a dragon board, good cooling, antec psu, nvidia card (though that may change)..... just some of my things.... if you are looking for performance intel quad coreDragon board with at least 2 16x PCI-E slots4gb of the fastest ram your system can handleram drive for fast OS operations 2 15k ultra320 drives in raid 0GeForce 9800750W Antec PSUBullet proof vest (so i dont steal that system.... jk :hihi: ) Quote
alexander Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Nitrogen return cooling system for the CPU, and GPU, and overclock both Quote
alexander Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 BTW SLI is the dumbest thing anyone has ever come out with, you get under 20% (if you are lucky) speed improvement at 100% price.... that to me is not a smart investment.... Quote
Zythryn Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 120% > 100% ;)As I noted, I am not considering price in my suggestions, just performance. theblackalchemist 1 Quote
alexander Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 you are better off spending some money on a physics processor... performance to cost gain would be much higher.... Quote
theblackalchemist Posted March 25, 2008 Author Report Posted March 25, 2008 bloody helli dont want a super comp, just a plain normal comp that is modest enough with the best super processors , ultimate graphics card... same thingany way the score board is 1. Jay-q2.ALex My mind is yawningTBA Quote
Zythryn Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Hehe, well you have to reign me in with some limits (love the nitrogen cooling system Alexander:)).I here 'gaming machine' and I get a bit carried away:doh: Quote
