theblackalchemist Posted March 28, 2008 Author Report Posted March 28, 2008 alexi think you are missing the point herethe one with the 2.2ghz wont even crawl with crysisi tought the 3ghz/3.2ghz was nice and i have asked my tech-man to look up the price for itthankscan you fix up any config with that and what the hell is intel core 2 duo extreme?TBA Quote
alexander Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 the one with the 2.2ghz wont even crawl with crysis:eek2:You are very mistaken, a quad core 2.2 will fly, what you have to understand is that it is equivalent to having 4, yes four 2.2GHz processors because its 4 separate 2.2GHz cores, and it's actually faster then a normal 4 processor machine because the bus between processors is 6 GBit vs front side used to connect multi proc machines (800mhz max, if you lucky). It will fly, drive your car, walk your dog and make you coffee in the morning all at the same time, and will be able to run crysis or any game out there to date at the highest setting! Quote
alexander Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Also most game specs are given for intel machines, AMD processors do more instructions per cycle so the lower frequency of operation will still outperform a higher frequency Intel. ex a single core 2.2 will perform along the lines of a 2.8-3.0 intel processor.
