alexander Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 Once again, i have come across a guide that I could not pass by without linking you guys to. Linux supports a lot of hardware, but sometimes lack gui tools to deal with them (and some people are afraid of command line). I found a guide with lots of good details about Linux wireless support, drivers, chipsets, modules, etc that may help someone (of that i am sure) with their linux wifi "problem" http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Linux.Wireless.pdf Quote
freeztar Posted May 8, 2008 Report Posted May 8, 2008 Awesome! :( I'm certainly not afraid of command line. I started computing in the DOS days and I remember hating it when Windows 3.0 came out. I still use DOS from time to time. The problem with command line in Linux, for me, is that I don't know the language (commands). A quick google search reveals tons of dictionaries for nix commands. Is there one that you use, or have used, or can at least recommend? This one looks pretty good: http://tldp.org/LDP/Linux-Dictionary/html/ :( Quote
