It is a matter of intention... in that if your primarily goal is one position in a social constructs of a group you well tend to bend information to accommodate to a concusses. Its just good politics. Studies have been done where a group of random individuals are put in a room to solve certain problems, Observations have shown the person’s that immediately attempt to put themselves as the leaders where also the first to sacrifice truth to retain a consensus or group think. The interest becomes more about what will keep the group together as a unit rather than what is the best information and direction. People that tend to just take information and ignore the consensus make fair negotiators by advocating positions without prejudice. Quote

I'll have to try and look it up, since my information was from a show on PBS about two or three years ago. I'll get back as soon as I find something. I have taken several test myself in the course of my job to evaluate where I would best fit in these groups and I have allways scored negotiator or creator, advisor in the system. Quote
