how about this one

"stuttering, cold and damp

steal the warm wind tired friend

times are gone for honest men

and sometimes far too long for snakes"

The only Fuel album I have is Natural Selection. I like it but I don't know it well enough yet to detect lyrics. I'm not sure if I've ever heard anything from Sunburn. Sounds like I'm missing out, huh?

Ok, I think I know this one, but I haven't figured it out yet. I'll keep reciting it until it comes to me.

you KNOW this one, i am sure of it;)

yeah you should really check out Fuel. Sunburn and Something like Human are both excellent albums. I have not checked out the new one tho, Angels and Devils. they also put on a great show, have seen them several times and never a disappointment. Let me know if you need a clue on this one. Speaking of clues, i really miss riddles. And what on earth happened to William Honey???

Good one Pam. I had to look it up because it was driving me crazy. :D

a new one:

These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall

This is the wonder of devotion - I see the torch we all must hold.

How years ago in days of old

When magic filled the air,

Twas in the darkest depths of mordor

I met a girl so fair,

But gollum, and the evil one crept up

And slipped away with her.

Got it! That extra verse made the difference.

This one is Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden.

It appears we have a similar taste in music. ;)

Here's one:

:ohdear:

I've been thinkin' 'bout the times

you walked out on me.

There were moments I'd believe

you were there.

Do I miss you, or am I lyin' to myself again.

I do these things....

:hihi:

Girl

there are really no words strong enough

To describe all my longing for love

I don't want my feelings restrained.

Oh

Babe

I just need you like never before

Just imagine you'd come through this door

You'd take all my sorrow away.

Nope.

It's still in the rock genre. You just have to go back to the mid 80's. The band was popular, particularly in late 70's and early 80's, but they weren't known for being heavy.

Losing my Religion - R.E.M.

FWIW, that song was released on Feb. 19, 1991, not in the 80's. :singer:
