Moontanman
Yes! Very good. I love that song and that band. :singer: I used to like Journey, it was a great band but a friend of mines wife left him and he sat around a listened to Journey feeling sad and eventually I had to take all his Journey albums and beat him to death with each one, it wasn't pretty but it had to be done. Pamela, think of small "bug like" things that sting and pinch! That's your clue!

It is the third track following an extended intro called Foreplay. The album cover is a drawing of an enormous space ship in the form of a guitar, with the city of Boston on it enclosed by a clear dome. Several other similar ships are with it and appear to be destroying a planet, presumably by the shear intensity of their music. At least that's what I thought. There is a book that it is a direct representation of.

In thinking about it, and considering what I've heard you say in other threads, I bet the image actually represents our escape from the Earth as it is being destroyed, not that it is being destroyed by the guitar ships. I imagine it is suggesting that we destroyed the planet and some decided to leave. Is that right?

Moontanman
My guess is that the image corresponds to a novel (presumably a sci-fi novel). Yes, Cities in Flight by James Blish, In the future an invention allows entire cities to be encapsulated into a transparent force field and lifted off the Earth and... for them to travel faster than light and the cities become the equivalent of itinerant workers roaming the galaxy looking for ways to make a living for their respective cities. The invention is called a spin dizzy and it works off the power of two D cell batteries! Oh yeah, they have to leave the Earth due to total economic and ecological collapse! freeztar
And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the stormThat could abash the little birdThat kept so many warm. This is poem is from a famous poet. It was made into a collaborative song for a benefit supporting Katrina relief. Name that tune! :) (this is one where you will most likely need to use google :))
