You know, nutronjon, on a more serious note...

I have posted reasonable and well thought out responses to you. You still have failed to address the criticisms. It was only after your disregard for intelligent discourse that I dismissed you.

Your post above? Well, you're just angry, and not even on topic.

Don't forget tattooed.
is a reasonable argument about what? The pictures you posted in my thread, explain what about the subject?

Moderators, I am breaking the rule and should get nailed for this, but there seems to be confusion about what the rules mean. What I am doing in this thread should not be tolerated. Do we have agreement?

InfiniteNow, I told you, I stop reading your post when you are offensive. If you want me to read what you write, make your arguments without being offensive, and then I will read them and reply.

Sorry, but I wanted this to be public, and I hope we can come to some agreements about acceptable manners in these forums.

For the love of Thor, nutronjon.

Stop thread hijacking.

If you are not able to grasp why I have a problem with your posts, then PM me and we'll figure something out. It would be best to do it in private.

If you prefer to keep it public, I will keep belittling you, and that helps no one.

InfiniteNow, you said somewhere that scientific notation is taught in 6th grade...

I usually tend to think that the school level in the US is very similar to the one in Australia. When I did my year 12 there (during my exchange year in Melbourne), in the physics class they learned the scientific notation (in year 12!!!)...

Well, it's very possible that I was using some poetic license on that one. I honestly can't rememeber what grade it was taught. :hihi:

The main point being that anyone who is spending their time discussing such advanced topics in physics (and, in fact, outright challenging them and calling existing knowledge wrong) should have no struggle understanding such a basic concept as the scientific notation.... also, why it's so very important to put the "x10" into the equations.

Do I still need my poetic license if I choose, instead, to ride the rhetorical train? :shade:
