Moontanman Posted July 3, 2008 Report Posted July 3, 2008 Lets see if we have any real Prophets on Hypography. Is any one willing to make a prediction as to what will happen in the next year, five years, 10, 25, 50 , 100? I'll start with mine 1 yearA truly Earth like world orbiting another star will be found. 5 yearsAn alien civilization will be detected orbiting another star. 10 yearsLife on Mars will be confirmed 20 yearsI new method of space propulsion connected to Heim theory will be discovered/perfected50 yearsfirst permanent orbiting space colony will be occupied 100 yearsA practical method of FTL travel will be discovered. But no complex life other the Earth's will be discovered in the solar system. Quote

pamela Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 hi William, I think you missed my joke. Every age has a hailed prophet of some sort, depending on their beliefs. You could be a prophet under the Royal Religion of Honey for all I know, and I just a drone. I think it wise not to get caught up in all the hype of prophets and predictions, too many religious sects have gone to their untimely graves based upon such ideas. We are here and now, and some of us may have seen a tear in the fabric, but today is all we have. I cannot predict whether i will live or die tomorrow, but i will certainly make my today worthwhile Quote

Y2K. :hihi: Of course, it could be argued that some of those folks just conveniently pushed the date back to 2012. Any predictions on the next push back date? :hyper: Quote
