Eclipse Now Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Hi all,I'm interested in surviving peak oil, society thriving in "Bright Green eco-cities", then getting off world and settling Mars, maybe even terraforming Mars? I'm interested... but not technical. Sadly, I was given a welfare / humanities brain at the checkout. I'm sure I ordered something different...:eek_big: Quote

alexander Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Whatever you do, don't read my thoughts on this green thing... Welcome to hypography, the only place you know where we care about the right kind of green, the only kind of green, the green that is not driven by economic change and the structural makeup of the people-eating war-mongering capitalists that call themselves..... ooh getting a bit ahead of myself here... welcome :hihi: Quote
Eclipse Now Posted July 9, 2008 Author Report Posted July 9, 2008 Thanks all, I look forward to chatting about some of the big issues with you. If I ever lose my temper in a debate I apologise ahead of time. :) I think I'm fair-minded, but... how would I know? And why to trolls get under my skin and manage to have me engaging them? And what do I do about anger-management when I meet a troll? These are the eternal questions....:) Quote

Eclipse Now Posted July 9, 2008 Author Report Posted July 9, 2008 Naaah, smash a moon or 2 into Mars, a whole heap of asteroids, thicken the atmosphere, black dust on the poles... maybe even a giant lense / space mirror and we'll warm old Mars up baby! But that's assuming we get through 'peak everything' first. (Not just peak oil, but gas, coal — 2050..., hafnium, telenium, etc by 2020... then all the BIG metals run out in the lifetime of babies born today.) Quote
