Let's all take a moment for those lovely people that always greet you with a smile instead of a frown.
The reason I occasionally jog by the local Wal-mart and say hi to the greeters even though I don't have any inclination to actually buy anything there...

Here's a moment to my very favorite words in the English language: "Please", "Thank you" and "You're welcome!"

Thank you!

"Objection your honor, asked and answered...." And from that post, you'll probably never be lucky enough to find out...

Here's to the guy who made our organizing less painful by thinking up *multi-colored* folders! I like the orange and purple ones best myself...

___A moment for a dear relation of mine whoose organizational genius revolves around the colored folder & colored labels, & colored pens, &... color in general now that I think of it. Well then, a moment for purple.

A moment for those who have the serenity to rise above the hatred, cruelty, small-mindedness, selfishness, and avarice that are embodied in so many self-righteous, pious idiots that are so common in the world.

Myth! Roger has constantly refuted that he ever even thought of doing it to WoOz. Its just amazing synchronicity!

i know it is just a myth since he, and everybody in floyd denies it.

but seeing as how he wrote everything, the words, the music.......i believe on his own time, he wrote it all to fit wizard of oz. there are just WAY too many coincidences.

"balanced on the biggest wave, you race towards an early grave" dorothy is walking on the fence, then it falls, then the music starts.

the synths come in, then right when the airport voice sample comes in, the grandma starts talking.

as dorothy is singing somewhere over the rainbow, as the plane flys across the left pan to the right, her eyes move as she watches the plane crash on the album.

the clocks tick, DING! the evil woman comes to take to-to away. the music of 'time' then comes in almost perfectly synced up to the way the people are moving and acting (though this is not a big coincidence at all)

all the lyrics going on are most of the time relevant to what's going on in the movie.

when the 'breath' reprise comes in on time, they talk about home. as dorothy is heading home from the nomad magicion.

right as she gets back and finds the tornado is coming, time fades out, and right when she opens her gate and it flies away, the girl starts to sing. (which i must say is a brilliant improvisation, especially for a first take, and a white girl!)

the singing/music perfectly first the mood for the tornado, and dies down instantly as she gets hit on the head and falls into her subconcious.

when the great gig in the sky fades out, and all is quiet. dorothy opens the door to the colored world...and right as she steps out

CHA CHING! MONEY STARTS.

i won't keep going, because i've already missed so much, and there is SO MUCH MORE.

i suggest you all try this. start the dark side cd (yeah it would be fun with a vinyl but you'll lose synchronicity) at the third roar of the mgm lion, right before the movie starts. mute the movie, and just watch/listen. it's truly amazing.

one more thing.

the last track.

"all that you touch, and all that you see, all that taste.......etc..........."

dorothy and the scarecrow desperately try to get the tin man revived.

it looks like he is preaching the words that pink floyd are singing.

as if it was rogers message to the world. his way of putting his feelings out as a legacy. i doubt he ever expected anyone to find out so quick. (well 20 years or so wasn't quick)

it ends with her hand on the tin mans chest, his heart, dark side of the moon ends right there with the kick drum making a dull heart beat.

truly beautiful.

It is really spooky, Orb. I know Floyd denies it, but seriously, it's amazing. I've watched that many a time, and it never ceases to amaze. Although creating it on purpose is almost as difficult as by chance would have been.

The best part is the dancing munchkins which dance to the music...
