Gee whiz! That's the whole point! Start your own list! I've seen enough of your brains to know you don't need my help! Go! Do! It's fun!

Yes, I've always loved Kepler...

A moment for Stan Freberg...

Well... I guess it shouldn't matter, but I always start out admiring someone, not knowing the whole story. I thought everyone on your list was a great thinker (minus the couple I don't recognize) and for you to include Copernicus and Brahe and omit Kepler and Galileo I had figured that they had done something or maybe something about their findings was so horribly wrong that they were ostracized by the "scientific community"... I guess it shouldn't matter, since I thought their work was phenomenal. I mean, I know Galileo was sentenced to house arrest in the end there for making fun of the Church and all that... I think that's pretty cool to publish something that could get you killed. I have a soft spot for anybody who believes in something in the face of strong adversity. Kepler... Kepler just reminds me of Niles Crane...

In general you'll find its not such a good idea to read too much into my blathering: it sometimes means the opposite of what you see. The list was purposely "ecclectic" so certain obvious ones got left off as well as some obscure ones getting in (I strongly encourage you to look up the ones you don't recognize! You could end up admiring them too!).

Oh and the custom on this thread is that its (mostly) not a discussion, so you need to end every (well, most every) post to it with a "moment":

A moment for Emma Peel....
