Okay, maybe clicking his blue check mark a few times and getting him his second green box will take him over the edge and he'll speak. I'm betting he'll still wait until next week....

Cheers,

Buffy

I hope you didn't bet much.

Congratulations Turtle on breaking a 1000 :hihi:

___I was hoisted on my own petard! I was trying to be sneaky & still participate without going to 1000 'till the 16th. I found I could edit & give rep points, but when I tried getting by with putting an image in the Gallery, I found it counts as a post. :xx:

___Well, water under the bridge now. :hihi: Thanks C1ay! :D Sorry Buff! :(

I noticed that as well. I also noticed that when I deleted them my post count went down. Try it. Make a post in test and then delete it. At this point you could delete 11 posts and get back to your 999 :xx:

The ability to delete messages is only available when you are at posting level 5 (1000 posts). So if you fall below 1000 you will move back to level 4, and no longer have the ability to delete posts.

Maybe the next contest should be for who can stay at either 999 or 1000 for the longest! It would sure cut down on all the junk we'd need to read!

Thanks! But I've never posted a poem here. Haven't done any in a long time. I write lots of prose, but most of it is web/ad/brochure copy or software documentation, although I'm trying to hire more people so I don't have to do so much myself any more! Maybe I'll start again, soon...

___ ;) I didn't know for sure you hadn't posted a poem, but I didn't recall any. Without even knowing if you wrote poetry or not, I meant to help pull you up here without comprimising your impecability. ;)

With the change in user level names, I missed hitting the old "chatterbox" level, which my friends would probably say is the most appropriate label for me...as if I need help coming up with stuff to post on around here...

___I humbly regret any impertinence on my part as I never meant to imply you need help. Regardless of your post level or rate, I hold you in high regard as I presume do many.

Since this isn't the Igpay Atinlay orumfay, I'll respond in Englishway: Thank you! It was actually the Big-R thread, not Katabak, but I have not had the time to *experiment* so your other poll on who experiments has probably jogged me more than previously. Vacaction is coming up, so who knows what code I'll fiddle with for fun with my laptop up on top of the mountain while my kid throws snowballs. (Yes, there's going to be lots of snow in June in the Sierras, we may even ski!)

___Acknowledged. If I may interject on the Phat numbers, I point out that it is intimately related to Strange Numbers & also the thread "Statistical Distribution...", by the method of experiment; moreover of the 3 threads, Phat Numbers is IMO fairly resolved. By this I mean that in regard to the relationship between what I called "Phat" numbers & the area others call plu-perfect or multi-perfect numbers, it is clear that that these sets grow without bound, ie. they are infinite sets.

____In the area of "Statistical Distribution of Integers Classed by Number Of Divisors", there is fertile ground for further research, inasmuch as the variability of density for these classes is only sparsely explored by myself. From your previous posts to these topics of mine Buffy, I presume I have made myself clear. If not, as always, I entertain your criticisms, as well as those of others.

___In the subject of Katabataks that I have developed, there is less emphasis on computer power in regard to exploring the subject's richness, than there is on pattern recognition. I have noted that in reference to the ratio of reads to posts for most threads here at Hypography, my Katabatak thread is high in views & low in replies & I'm sometimes not sure how to takre that. Not that what others think of it has any influence on whether or not I continue it. ;)
