Aki Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 I got this homemade video in a VCD format, and I need to cut out a section and use it for a computer project at school. I looked around on the net for programs that edits vcd's, but I can't find any good ones. So does anyone have some recommendations? Thanks Quote
Tormod Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 I think the VCD format can be read with standard CD-ROM players and edited with software like Pinnacle studio or other programs. If I'm not mistaken VCD movies are stored as MPEG-1 files which are easily imported into any movie editing program. You might need an MPEG-1 to AVI converter but it should be built into most of these programs anyway. Here is $25 program which probably does what you need:http://www.am-soft.ru/aviedit.html Quote
alexander Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 I'd recommend Premier Pro, but thats too expensive...but take a look here:http://www.sofotex.com/download/Multimedia/Video/http://www.canadiancontent.net/tech/downloads/Audio+Video+Editing/http://www.jellypie.co.uk/resources/resources.htmto start, tell me if you didnt like any of them, i cant recommend one as i dont usually deal with video, but i can ask around and find one you'd want... P.S. do you have a Linux box, cuz i can probably find good video edditing soft free for linux... Quote
