You could discuss the science behind medical imaging technologies, such as PET (positron emmission tomography) and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).

Even more basic - things like blood transfusions, sterilized needles, immunizations, and x-rays are good examples.

Or do some history stuff - like the role of aspirin, for example.
