So you just noticed the difference between men and women during the Olympics? :hihi: yes goku when pushed to the absolute maximum women do have an advantage over men in some areas and in others men have an absolute advantage over women but in the general course of things goku I know there are lots of women that are superior to me and you in virtually all areas. I noticed quite a few of them in the Olympics, they could out swim me or you, out run me or you, out jump me or you, and lift more than me or you in all areas of competition. Did this bother you goku? Give it a rest, in the real world there is no reason women who are capable cannot do anything a man can do or the reverse for that matter. Quote
Boerseun Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Even the most dedicated of feminists won't deny the fact that men, in general, are taller and physically stronger than women. Women who have a higher testosterone level than the average, also seem to grow into bigger physical proportions than their fellow females. There is no doubt about that, and there's no problem regarding that from the feminists. That's why sports teams are still separated between the sexes. Quote

Some say women is tougher on tollerating pain. Like giving birth to a child is one of the pain we man cannot bear (or feel).I don't know, unless I got a chance to really experience it.But I watch a lot of kung fu movies, ok, let's go back to real life, boxing, and I see many men can fight to dead. How about that? Quote

Thunderbird Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 Men are generally better problem solvers, while women are better at muti-tasking. Quote
Donk Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 I heard somewhere that women are better in stamina tests than men. If so, it should show up in running records - so I went looking Track & field records distance men women ratio 100m 9.72 10.49 1.079 200m 19.32 21.34 1.105 400m 43.18 47.60 1.102 800m 01:41.10 01:53.30 1.120 1000m 02:12.00 02:29.00 1.129 1500m 03:26.00 03:50.50 1.119 Mile 03:43.10 04:12.60 1.132 2000m 04:44.80 05:25.40 1.142 3000m 07:20.70 08:06.10 1.103 5000m 12:37.40 14:11.20 1.124 10000m 26:17.50 29:31.80 1.123 20000m 56:26.00 1:05:26.60 1.160 25000m 1:13:55.80 1:27:05.90 1.178 30000m 1:29:18.80 1:45:50.00 1.185 I was wrong: the women are closer to the men's times on shorter distances, with the ratio climbing as the distance gets longer. But when we look at road racing, it's the other way around - the longer the race, the closer the women's record is to the men's: distance men women ratio 10km 27:02 30:21 1.123 15km 41:29 46:55 1.131 20km 55:31 62:57 1.134 Half-Marathon 58:33 66:25 1.134 25km 01:12:45 01:22:13 1.130 30km 01:28:36 01:38:49 1.115 Marathon 02:04:26 02:15:25 1.088 100km 06:13:33 06:33:11 1.053 Are the trends pure coincidence? If not, can anyone figure out what's happening? Quote
Zythryn Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 ... ok, let's go back to real life, boxing, and I see many men can fight to dead. How about that? Well, that would seem to indicate that women are smarter than men;) Quote

Buffy Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 "all men are created equal" wich also means all women are created equal.feminists talk about equal rights, and the most common unequal right is maternity leave?Well I know that in some states, companies that are still run by Neanderthals only allow maternity leave to women, but in more progressive states, most companies give--or are even forced to give because of those dirty, business-hating liberals--maternity leave to men and women. There's no question that there are unequal "rights" that are a hold over from the olden days when women were essentially property, but that's not the fault of us feminazis.... What you're engaging in here is what's called a "hypocritical self-fulfilling prophecy": insist that laws not be changed and then blame your opponents for why things are the way they are. Classic Karl Rove.can we be equal and have different rightsWhat kind of rights do *you* think ought to be different? It's not easy to pull yourself up by the bootstraps when your boss has his hand on your leg, :shrug:Buffy Quote
last Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 "all men are created equal" wich also means all women are created equal.feminists talk about equal rights, and the most common unequal right is maternity leave?can we be equal and have different rights You are making it sound so literal. Men and Women are different. Sure I can have a baby, but I could never make another woman pregant naturally with my own dna. Everyone isn't equal. It is silly to think that they are. It would be unfair to treat everyone exactly the same. We are all unequall. However, everyone should have same opportunities, like being treated with same respect. What I don't get is why people like to catogorize men and women against each other, like whos stronger or smarter... Its like comparing apples to oranges. :) Quote
