teach34181 Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Just passing through and I saw the message saying I couldn't post until I said 'hello to our community' so this is the obligatory HELLO. I read the 'how to introduce yourself' posts and had quite a laugh. What am I lacking? Funny. An angry wife maybe... lol I'm a HS chemistry/physical science/biology teacher in Philadelphia with a Ed.M in science education. Prior to being a teacher I worked as a Food scientist for two Fortune 500 companies. I stop by this sight to keep current on all things science as part of my commitment to being the best possible science teacher. I read way more than post but figured I'd best say hello -- just in case I felt the need to post. So, in case anyone missed it --- HELLO COMMUNITY!!!! Quote
Turtle Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Hello Teach. :) Welcome aboard. ;) :phones: Quote
alexander Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 two Fortune 500 companiesOh so you have experience of working for one fortune 1000 company.... got it :) I stop by this sight to keep current on all things science as part of my commitment to being the best possible science teacher.Thought i'd note that this is quite examplory in teaching community. I wish some of my teachers were more like you, that way i didn't have to explain to them that the shortest distance on the earth's surface is not a straight line due to earth's curvature... I read way more than post but figured I'd best say hello -- just in case I felt the need to post. You are very welcome here :phones: Traditionally, Welcome to Hypography, the only place you know where teachers learn and students teach, where employers are offered employment, where angry scientists preach the need for proper notations, and disembowel people who use questionable scientific techniques to attempt to prove rather touchy, sometimes personal, subjects at hand ;) Quote
