bochen2 Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 Maybe perhaps there is a oneness that explains and contains the three ‘worlds’- the Platonic mathematical, the physical, and the mental. Maybe there is a fundamental experience that makes no distinction or differentiation between the physical, mental, and mathematical? It is important to define just what is meant by "existence". As Penrose pointed out in his Road to Reality, the Mandelbrot set is an infinitely complexed set (infinitely more complexed and detailed than the know universe itself) therefore it does not "exists" in the physical universe as we know it (nor do circles, triangles, etc..) nor does it exists in its entirety in our minds (at most only a tiny shadow of a point of a rough approximation) but yet it does have its own existential abstract platonic mathematical existence that cannot be denied. Would the Mandelbrot set still be said to exists if there was no physical universe and no carbon based life to be aware of its existence? So my question is Does a most perfect girl/woman exists? And in which domain of existence? Hypothetically and theoretically there can and should be a most perfect (physically beautiful and elegantly graceful) girl/lady/woman (female homo sapien) at least in the abstract platonic existential plane and domain (a supremum across all "existences" if you will) Right now if we had the ability to analyze every living human female we would come up with a supremum in regards to beauty. One single individual female that looks better than all the rest of the earth. The point I am making is even if we did NOT have the ability to categorize, prioritize, define, quantify, qualify, etc every single woman in terms of beauty and do an absolute ranking the "supremum" always does exists! Even if we never had the Olympics Games Ussain Bolt is still the fastest man alive at 100m and 200m in 19.20 seconds REGARDLESS of us measuring and witnessing the event. If we lived in the stone age with no technology whatsoever he would STILL be the fastest man alive.... etc... The most beautiful girl/woman alive on earth right now (by definition of supremum) MUST and DOES exists. I just think the beauty pageants never turn out anyone really beautiful... Miss Universe is NOT from honest scientific point of view anywhere NEAR the true most beautiful girl/woman on earth. But more interesting the question is does such a perfect girl/woman exists in physical form somewhere OUT THERE in the "real world" as a breathing living flesh and blood human being? Basically do we have a hit/match and a convergence between what is the existential supremum of physical beauty with what is actual-physical possible and already existing in the physical world. This is NOT the same as asking if we can ever find a physical object that was exactly circular of if the Mandelbrot set exists in the physical universe (we know mathematically that is impossible!!) I am simply asking if the existential supremum and the physical supremum are ONE and the same person? IE.. IS the most beautiful girl/woman alive right now on Earth (whoever and wherever and whenever she is) look exactly the same (indistinguishable from; in terms of physical beauty and perfection) as "THE most beautiful girl/woman ever possible existentially or otherwise?" Basically if it could be proven that the absolute human limit for running the 200m sprint is 18.00seconds then we have not a man who is the "fastest runner POSSIBLE" because Bolt was 1.30 seconds slower... So the physical supremum (BOLT in this case) is not the same "person" as the existential supremum (a hypothetical 18.00sec runner that has yet to materialized in physical form ). But one day if someone does run a 18.00 then on that glorious day the existential supremum and the physical supremum would be one and the same exact PERSON! A perfection of sorts would have been achieved. So in that light, I guess my question is : We know the physical supremum most beautiful woman exists right now out there somewhere on planet earth. But does she look every bit as good as the hypothetically possible infinitely perfect and beautiful existential supremum ? And if such a girl literally and really did exists in real life and you were to meet her wouldn't that be literally "heaven on earth"? But if not, can anyone guesstimate how close have we come? In your opinion what physical attributes, facial features, and physique would give rise to THE most perfectly beautiful girl/lady/woman ever? And what is an example of such a living human being even if she falls somewhat short of the mark? Which models, actresses, females in REAL LIFE (real names) comes close to what I am alluding to? ==== http://us.vdc.imdb.com/name/nm1721113/mediaindex]All Photos of Kristina Apgar Quote
pamela Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 hello Bochen2, I imagine that the "heaven on earth" would come into play at the time of falling in love. In your eyes, she would be the most beautiful perfect person. To others, she may seem plain. How can one judge beauty? Every ones perception and attraction levels are different and continue to change or evolve with age. Your super models of today are all emaciated, yet throughout history women have mostly been depicted as curvacious and even overweight according to todays implied standards. And what about personality? Some of the "pretty ones" can become very unattractive by their verbal reponses. Remember the old addage- beauty is in the eyes of the beholder Quote
Tormod Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 I think that the day science is used as an excuse to say who is beautiful and who is not, we have lost our minds. Quote
Karnuvap Posted October 5, 2008 Report Posted October 5, 2008 I feel that what you are talking about is somewhere in between the "Platonic" idea of a woman and your personal idea of what the perfect woman for you is. We all know the attributes of womankind and yet all women are different from each other; though still recognisable as women. And your idea of the perfect woman is likely to be different from my idea of the same. We could compare what each of us thinks makes a woman perfect and there may well be some overlap but , to paraphrase a true expression, perfection is in the eyes of the beholder. Quote
Moontanman Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 Perfection does indeed lie in the eyes and arms of the beholder. Anytime some one tries to define the perfect woman or even worse tries to tell you what the perfect person is and you listen you are already so far from perfection chances of finding it are remote. I learned a long time ago that real love exists in your head and the person who satisfies it will be defined by what is in their head. All physical beauty fails with time, if you don't love the person inside the head then you don't really love you only lust. The perfect person will be the person who satisfies you intellectually, emotionally, and physically, anything else is just you lying to your self. Quote
Galapagos Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 In certain cultures in India the more hairy a woman is the more attractive she is considered to be. A heavy-set body is considered more attractive to/for both males and females in some south-pacific island cultures. Among the Massai, the more thin and slender a man is, the more attractive he is (in the west this is generally thought of as an effeminate look). More on this at around 6:30 in the following video:BBC - The Human Animal 4 - The Biology of Love 3/6 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7101269263430341829&ei=7FzpSJrPJoL8rAKLk5HhDA&q=desmond+biology+love&vt=lfSome aspects of our sexual tastes are more arbitrary than others (though not all of it, obviously). I wonder what the perfect, abstract platonic bower looks like? B) Quote
last Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 Does she exist? Yes, no, maybe? Depends really. I suppose somewhere out there is perfect woman. She can do everything right, makes no mistakes, and easy on the eyes. Actually being perfect sounds boring and more trouble than its worth.Could all women considered perfect? Don't hate me because I am beautiful. Quote
pgrmdave Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - my perfect woman would be very different from many people's perfect woman. As for an 'ideal physical peak' in terms of, say, running speed and such, I suspect there is a point at which we could say we've maxed, but I doubt we'll ever hit it. Perhaps we could make some headway as to what it would be by plotting times from the 200yd in various world competitions over the years, with the assumption that the average world time will get faster over time due to better understanding of training theory, better medicine, and better nutrition? alexander Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 Does a most perfect girl/woman exists? If you do, and you know it, please PM me first (after all, i asked for it first) I am willingly signing up for this "Scientific" experiment ;) If any of you feel you have found the perfect woman, or are one, i would gladly examine that claim; a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, camera and lighting equipment, knowledge on theories of mamal attractiveness and willingness to test them, all here, i hope you can cope with lots of harmless pinching :) Quote

alexander Posted October 7, 2008 Report Posted October 7, 2008 well, ofcourse, moon, who would i be if i didn't let another eager scientist cross-examine the evidence...? I'm not a gynecologist but I'd be glad to take a look ahahahaha, what i was thinking :) Quote
last Posted October 8, 2008 Report Posted October 8, 2008 all for the sake of science.... ideal physical peak, huh? well, that would mean she would only 'perfect' a few years then replaced by someone younger, but such is life. Quote
pamela Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Last, now there again it would only be by the individual's perception. Many women remain beautiful while they age. According to your standards, my warranty at 45 has long been expired. Trade me in? Well, there's quite a market out there for used models. Shall I run an ad, and give you the figures? Quote

I think the author of this thread needs to define perfect, what is perfect? Looks? Personality? Availability? Wealth? Fertility? Strength of character? It looks to me like perfection is as variable as the seeker of perfection and the attraction of the perfect woman to the seeker is rather important as well. I could find what I think is the perfect woman but that is no guarantee she would even realize i was alive. Quote
last Posted October 12, 2008 Report Posted October 12, 2008 sorry pamela I was thinking along the lines of an athletic thing. No need to run the figures, I prefer older, used models. They have experience and are worth more.I am just looking for a model that has been care of, and having fewer miles would be a bonus. however if you see a good deal on cars pm me:D Quote

I'm speaking about physical LOOKS and looks alone, stripped of all personality and mind and soul. In with regards to sheer beauty and facial features and perfection of physique etc... I will give a few names and examples of the categorical TYPE of girl/woman/lady that I think comes close but doesn't quite reach that ineffable pinnacle of perfection that I am alluding to.
