Moontanman Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Report: cells "from space" have unusual makeup Quote
HermesThePhilosopher Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 Lou is and Kumar pre vi ously re ported that the odd part i cles con tain no DNA, al though they rep li*cate abun dantly in fe ro cious heat by spawn ing new “cells” from with in them selves. It was these off spring whose flu o res cence prop er ties the pair tested. (wonder why the page its from has all those spaces in the formatting?) Hmm... seems a bit fanciful to me. They call them "cells", "microbes", "particles" - what are they?!? I can't believe they've had these things for so long, since 2001, yet not done mass spec, assays, x-ray etc. They must know what they are exactly, so they seem to be being deliberately vague. It is interesting, but a link to the paper/presentation notes would be good. Quote
freeztar Posted November 14, 2008 Report Posted November 14, 2008 a link to the paper/presentation notes would be good. Indeed. Here it is Also, here is Godfrey's page with (tons) more info on the "red rains": (scroll down) Dr.Godfrey Louis Quote
