Queso Posted March 30, 2006 Author Report Posted March 30, 2006 I had a lucid dream one night when I passed out WASTED drunk. Happened when I least expected it! Quote
Drip Curl Magic Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Last night I had a dream. In this dream, I visited three places I'd already seen in dreams. But it wasn't a re-accuring dream. I KNEW these places already. And I was in a completely new situation everytime I stumbled onto these places. I found myself saying "hey, I've been in this area before, If I go through this door, I'll find that one really cool place again" Weird thing was how amazingly accurate the places were the second time I visited them. Everything seemed exactly the same. Every little detail. Things I didn't remember, I was reminded of when I saw them. They brought back memories that I wouldn't have had if I hadn't gone back in my dreams and visited these places. Another weird thing that happened in this dream. Something happened. It would have normally made me feel like my life was in danger. but I immediately thought, "oh, it's cool, I'm just dreaming." But for some reason, it didn't really register. I kind of knew I was dreaming but I failed to see the significance of KNOWING that I was dreaming. These places that I was visiting.... I remembered them as dream places. But I didn't try to manipulate any of it. Maybe I was too focused on getting to that one cool room I'd been to in that previous dream, I dunno. I'm PRETTY sure than I kind of sub-sub-consciously knew I was in a dream, but maybe I'm just over-interpreting an instant where I realized where I was... and then immediately forgot. But if I'd forgotten, wouldn't that bring me to a new dream? Why did i stay in the same dream and forget that I was in a dream? it doesn't make sense. Ahhhh. Quote
Jay-qu Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 I my dream the other night I was driving a car - now thats nothing out of the ordinary, I have car dreams every now and then. So when I woke up I didnt put to much thought into my dreams and really didnt take much notice of it. BUT later in the day when I was bored and had nothing to do I started thinking about the dream again - and on closer inspection I remembered that I was driving the car from the left hand seat and not the right which is the norm for aussie cars! nothing special but I just found it interesting that such a minor detail of my dream was overlooked by myself while I was dreaming and immediately after waking. Minor details usually get overlooked in dreams. I've been working on making my dreams more real.... by writing down tiny details. I figure that I'll eventually start instinctively observing minor details in dreams.... once I start observing the small details... they'll make less sense... and I'll probably be able to figure out that I'm dreaming more easily. like "hey... why did that guy just walk through that wall?" "why did this guy just appear out of nowhere?" "why can't I turn off any of these lights?" Quote
Queso Posted April 7, 2006 Author Report Posted April 7, 2006 "consciousness occurs when an organism has enough free time to think about it" I was listening to someone speak I woke and thought about my uncomfortable stomache. Damn the physical realm! Quote
Loricybin Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 i just remembered one . . . this was about two nights ago so i'm with my brother and my mom, on orby's couch. max (my brother) and i both wake up at roughly the same moment, and i look over, and he is sitting on the couch wearing black cargo shorts. his legs are missing from just above the knees, downward. they are severly burned and torn looking. he doesn't seem to notice or care. i point out to him that his legs are severely damaged, and he lifts them, and looks at them, and looks at me, and starts crying it was at that exact moment that he realised he would never walk again, and be handicapped for the rest of his life.my mom and i go to hug him and comfort him the dream then jumped to me, in orby's bathroom, flipping the lightswitch on and off. everytime it goes upward it lights up for just a split second and turns off, it won't stay lit and i really want to pee. . . . ON AND OFF AND ON AND OFF AND . . . i do this until i wake up, which feels like about 30 seconds. i wake up and have to pee really badly. i honestly think that if it wasn't for orbsycli's lightswitch being broken, i would've immediatly walked over to the toilet and started peeing, both in my dream and in my bed.:confused:if any of you can remember, that's exactly what happens when you wet the bedthank you for actually having a faulty bathroom lightswitch, orbsycli, you saved my sheets. Quote

Tarantism Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 i had a good dream the other night. at the beginning of the dream i appear to be waking up...my dad is in the room with me, which seems like some kind of hospital testing facility. i look at him and he begins to explain to me how the tests went, and asking if i have any head pains. i tell him, no, im actually feeling quite fine. the door opens, BOOM! the dream changes. now im in a hall, theater kind of place and people are onstage reciting what appear to be cliches and there is a small group of green globby aliens in this facility as well, enjoing the theater. i laugh at them. then i walk out into the hallway, where a few of my friends are. the first face that i recognize is loren, and he is just fumbling with something. turns out its a joint, and he offers it to me after hitting it. i say "thanks" and he says "i have learned that it can be a mistake to show a fish to a dying blade of grass". i tell him that doesnt mean anything at all and he hands me a fish. i walk away. now the dream changes again and i have my eyes closed....after a second or two (not literal) i opent hem to examine my suroundings. not much, some trees, sunshine, basically your average big feild of grass. i see a small patch of vibrant (what i mean by that is basically that they were glowing oranges and yellows...) and i get up to go pick one. once i do, the ground explodes with this energy and just shoots up into space. i wake up. the end. Jay-qu Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 My dead/missing cat visited me in my dream last night. :) -->> I woke up, looked at his picture, remembered how much I Love Him, and went back to bed... a little sad...very wierd - one of my cats dissapeared also, last year, I went through a patch where everynight I dreamt she came back to me, each night seemed more real than the next but alas it was not so :( My dream last night had 2 notable aspects. ::First up, Betelguese (the star) went supernova and gave me a spectacular CGI like light show - even watching it in my dream I was thinking 'hmm this is right, theres no way it would be that big and bright' but I just went with the flow it was really cool! :D ::Secondly I was asked the question by some random guy 'what do you put of your chins?' it made no sense to me, I was thinking what specifically do you put on your chin :cake: then a person next to me answered 'tomato sauce' Then the guy repeated the question as if to say what are you stupid! when I woke up I realised that I had mis-heard him, that he actually asked 'what do you put on your chips?' I just found it really weird that you can actually misunderstand someone in your dream, it was like one part of my brain was asking the question, and the other part didnt quite here it right so I didnt respond  Quote
