stonneflute Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 My fellow Earthlings, I wish you Peace, pragmatism, and punctuality...for now. Question: If you want to shoot a mime do you have to use a silencer? :) My interests are law, cosmology in it's broadest sense, EFF, ACLU, archaeology and botany and bugs. I can and occasionally DO balance my own checkbook, accurately. I hope that satisfies the admonition to avoid the mundane "hi" greeting in an introduction. I live in Seattle. It snowed here today for the first time this season. I love snow. My car does NOT love snow. I don't have a website. But I do have spiders. Ciao Quote
stonneflute Posted December 14, 2008 Author Report Posted December 14, 2008 Hey Pamela, thanks for the welcome. It's nice to know there are others who actually read this stuff and care enough to send a friendly howdy-do. All good things to you.:) Quote
Moontanman Posted December 14, 2008 Report Posted December 14, 2008 Welcome to the jungle Stonneflute, is a stonneflute an instrument? Quote
stonneflute Posted December 15, 2008 Author Report Posted December 15, 2008 Salutations Moontanman... Thank you for welcoming me to your "jungle" (one of my favorite places to hang out). Stonneflute is a take-off on my name... it could be construed as, for example, an Occarina, a flute made of glass, etc, etc,. I chose it because I like the juxtaposition of "weight" associated with stone, and the light, floating notes of a flute. I could wax romantic and imagine the winds breathing haunting melodies through the caves and hollows of mountains. The images seem endless, to me. NOW, ain't ya sorry ya asked!! ;) ;) Quote
pamela Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 well, I am glad he did! Ahhh, we have a poet amongst us....now you have no excuse not to join in on the riddle thread;)I am curious about your love of bugs, are you into entomology or just the casual garden variety observance? Quote
stonneflute Posted December 15, 2008 Author Report Posted December 15, 2008 I am an into entomology big time. Yearning to learn...hunting those yet to be discovered...and those long gone waiting to be uncovered. How about yourself? ;) Quote
pamela Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 well, have been into it from a forensic aspect for years now, but i found some really cool bugs when i was caving- kinda creepy but very cool. Also found giant caterpillars( enough to feed an army of birds) when hiking in the mountains.:) Quote
alexander Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Welcome to hypography, stonneflute, the only place you know where we first identify the amount of body segments, then legs, then antenni and finally wings of an insect, before we determine whether or not we are scared of it :) Enjoy Quote
