My interest in Bio char brought me here through some link that I have now forgotten. I have been somewhat afraid to post here because of the education level that some of you have. After reading many posts I realized that many of you are laymen the same as myself.

My name is mavrickjohn I'm a retired Boilermaker with a lung disability. Gardening is one of my passions. Reading about TP or bio-char in National Geographic started my search on the net for more information and I ended up here. I've learned more here than all the other sites that I've been to and found some of them here as links.

I'm an organic gardener that used to write about og in my local home town paper in a suburb of San Diego. I now live in the bay area of California. You can call me Mav or John which ever you prefer. And please forgive my spelling I spell dog Dawg. Glad to be abord.

Welcome mav, I'm disappointed I didn't fool you into thinking I was doctor of something :) but I have no formal education either. Join right in the world is full of people like us, I am disability retired from DuPont and spend way to much time here as well. I like growing things, cacti, bonsai, vegetables, and keeping aquariums and breeding fish.

yes, and i spend a lot of my time slacking off my job posting here, works out, i end up doing about as much work as they are paying for anyways :P

 

aside from that, i spend much time in social environment doing social experiments, experimental psychology, public philosophy, growing ideas and breeding, or at least attempting to :)

 

oh and reading, lots of information intake :)

michael, you didn't get the point of that sentence? think of it like actors, if an actor is given a role to be a physic's professor in a series, good actor will spend time with physics professors to study their behavior, great actor will, in a manner of speach become the physics teacher.... thus i basically admitted that some of us are educated, by saying that we are really good at pretending that we are.

 

Think farther then just accepting the obvious, think inside of the outside of the box :lol:
