My name is Jaan Übi, in 1990 when my first email account was created a jaan was already in use, the letter Ü was unapplicable, thus jaanbi was assigned :). I am working and studying in Tallinn Universtity of Technology. My interests are applications of computer science in business. In the university I teach MS Excel, Excel's VBA (actually a little of Scratch language as a pedagogical tool too) and optimization modeling with Excel's Solver. A new topic in teaching is videocasting with Adobe Captivate. My study interest is data visualization. I found Hypography as I was googling for sparse matrices - I finished an overview of PCA, MDS, Correspondence Analysis and SOM and came upon a 88000*16000 sparse matrix, read it to 32 bit Excel 2007 :) and ran out of memory by the end of the first third.
