Also, whenever I'm wanting to find a free alternative to software I would have to pay for, I type the software name in google and add "alternative" at the end. In your example: microsoft visual studio alternative I can't recommend a specific one as I'm not a programmer Quote
C1ay Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 On Linux you can use gcc which should be included with your distro. On Windoze I use Dev-C++ which is basically a windoze port of gcc with an IDE. It also supports the gdb debugger. Quote
