I've programmed off and on for 34 years, but mostly now I'm a software systems analyst. The only real programming I do right now is VBA for Excel. But I'm wizard class at that. :)

PERL was my favorite language back when I programmed a lot.

Java wasn't bad. I could do C, but it was a headache.

Ada was a loathsome language from hell.

Fortran was simple and fun, but I had to build my own relational databases from linked lists implemented in arrays. Like trying to construct the Taj Mahal out of popcycle sticks. :)

Assembler. Ahhhh. Assembler was awesome, like having a CPU in my skull. Addictive.
