What is used as an accelerant in wines to get wine from the vinyards to the stores in record speed? I've been told that it's sulfates, but I disagree. Does anyway know? Quote

pamela Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 hello blueboywelcome!!;)Sulfites occur naturally in all wines to some extent. Sulfites are commonly introduced to arrest fermentation at a desired time, and may also be added to wine as preservatives to prevent spoilage and oxidation at several stages of the winemaking.Sulfite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Quote
