Moontanman Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Take two bottles of Coca Cola, one of Coke Zero and one of regular coke, put them in the fridge over night or until both are cold as they can get in the fridge. Then take two glasses of ice cubes and pour coke Zero over one and regular coke over the other. When I do this I find that Coke Zero causes the ice cubes to freeze together, the ice in the regular coke stays separate. Why is this? Has anyone else noticed this effect on ice by Coke Zero? Quote
freeztar Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 By looking at this site, I notice sodium citrate listed as an ingredient for coke zero. The wiki for coke does not mention this as an ingredient. Since sodium citrate is saline, I'm guessing that something similar to this is occurring. I'm not completely sure about that though, so don't go quoting me on it. Quote
