Michaelangelica Posted April 2, 2009 Report Posted April 2, 2009 1. A bore drilling near Kingston on Thames England brought up some earth from 360 feet. Sealed so no seeds could contaminate it- many seeds have already sprouted from the soil 2. In some land surrounding an old Castle (formerly belonging to the Regent Murry near Moffat) 6-8 inches of peat was removed revealing "a stratum of soil. .which is supposed to have been a cultivated garden in the time of the regent" . .. a variety of flowers and plants have grown from the soil, "some of them little known even at this time in Scotland."
