First Post, Yee Haw

Hello Folks,

 

My username is Drewbeenius. I am no genius. The name involves at least part of my name. I use this moniker as a username often. I have enjoyed other math forums, including the Mathematica Student Support Forum.

 

I first found Hypography while Googling "difficult math problems", which brought me to a thread "A Simple, Yet Difficult, Math Problem". I was delighted by two problems:

A^x+B^x=C^x (generalized from that thread) posted by Sebastian

"a + b = -3 and ab = 4, then a^3 + b^3 equal..." posted by Nootropic

 

I enjoy many practical math problems found in engineering and science, but while seeking answers I tend to be distracted by other interesting math topics. I hope post some problems that have been puzzling me and gather feedback. I also hope to contribute to other threads, where I can.

 

I look forward to using this site.
