Theory5 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 I was watching chuck on hulu and the new episode Chuck Vs. The Wedding I belive it is, has an old apple II in the episode. I dont want to ruin it for anyone but [spolier ahead--->]when chuck finds his way into the intersect room that houses the new intersect computer there is nothing but a room in complete white, and a stand that has the intersect inside of it, and the old apple on top of it.---------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote
freeztar Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 I couldn't make it past four minutes. That show is terrible imho. Quote
Buffy Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 I couldn't make it past four minutes. That show is terrible imho.Oh my. Then you're officially not a nerd Freezy! It's a show specifically directed at the pocket protector crowd, and we're all fans of teh Nerd Herd in this house! :cheer: You have to give it more than 4 minutes....please tell me you really just pretend to not like it because of the disapproving stare you get from your wife when Yvonne Strahovski is on the screen.... You stole my ID? I borrowed it to reactivate it. Sorry I couldn't wipe the idiot grin off your face with photoshop, :phones:Buffy Quote
InfiniteNow Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Where was the Apple II? Must have missed that. Interesting how the end reminded me of Matrix... Quote

I should know, I owned one of those. The Applemodel was the original (later) "Fat Mac" --> Mac Plus (which had used the MotorolaMC 68000 @ 6 Mhz, 4MB address space instead of the Apple II which used a processor6502 [variant of Motorola MC 6800] @ 1 Mhz; 64 KB Address space). True even thoughthe Mac Plus could address 4 MB, they only started with 512 KB, and the Apple II typicallyhad 48 KB. I had both machines, so I know the diff. BTW an even older one was the Atari 800 (6502 1 Mhz, upto 48 KB memory).{That was my first computer} 68k is a much better chip than the 6502 ever was. The 6502 was an 8-bit machinewhile the 68k was a 16-bit chip with 32-bit address bus (24-bit usable in early models). :smart: :phones: :hyper: maddog Quote
freeztar Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Oh my. Then you're officially not a nerd Freezy! Can you please tell all of my friends that? It's a show specifically directed at the pocket protector crowd, and we're all fans of teh Nerd Herd in this house! :phones:Have you ever actually used a pocket protector yourself? I most certainly have not. It's best to have good quality pens rather than expect your cheap pen to explode and ruin your only lab coat. :smart: You have to give it more than 4 minutes....please tell me you really just pretend to not like it because of the disapproving stare you get from your wife when Yvonne Strahovski is on the screen....No, it just stinks. It's like a mix between Saved by the Bell and Days of Our Lives, meets wannabe 007. Eck! If a show can not grab me in 4 minutes, it can not grab me in one minute. In other words, it has failed four times over. Of course, this is simply my opinion and I do not pass judgement onto those that enjoy it. :cheer: Quote
Buffy Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Can you please tell all of my friends that?Freezy is not a nerd.There. Does that help?Have you ever actually used a pocket protector yourself?Uh, no. I don't know whether you've ever thought about it, but they don't exactly work well on girls.... :phones:No, it just stinks. It's like a mix between Saved by the Bell and Days of Our Lives, meets wannabe 007. Eck!Ha! So now we know that you watched Saved By the Bell! So dish: Jessie or Kelly? If a show can not grab me in 4 minutes, it can not grab me in one minute. In other words, it has failed four times over. Of course, this is simply my opinion and I do not pass judgement onto those that enjoy it. :hyper:Whew! No seriously, it's an inside joke show: ever notice the pictures of Ronald Reagan in Casey's apartment? I was all prepared to hate The Unusuals because they dumped Life on Mars for it, but it's actually grown on me simply because of those subtle, blink-and-you'll-miss-it jokes....and that in spite of no cuties on the scale of Matthew Fox! :smart: What'd you use for bait, PayPal? :cheer:Buffy Quote
freeztar Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 There. Does that help? :cheer: :umno: Uh, no. I don't know whether you've ever thought about it, but they don't exactly work well on girls.... :phones:That makes sense. But, why would a girl even want a pocket protector when she doesn't even have any pockets? Oh, I guess that's what you're saying. ;) Ha! So now we know that you watched Saved By the Bell!I admit it. I did watch Saved by the Bell, but "it's all right, cause I'm saved by the bell". :D So dish: Jessie or Kelly?Such a tough choice. :smart: Whew! No seriously, it's an inside joke show: ever notice the pictures of Ronald Reagan in Casey's apartment?Ok, I'll give it another go. :hyper: Quote
InfiniteNow Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 What a non-choice. Kelly (Tiffani Amber Thiessen). Hands down. Come on, freeze. :naughty: Quote
