The problem for me is that I get caught a little too completely in the emotional response to my own death. I mean, I can imagine it just as witnessing. I'm sure the feeling of your head falling onto a hard surface (if applicable) and your spinal cord being cut isn't too pleasant. It probably cancels out any true cognition. The thing is, without feeling the full emotional force of it, are you really witnessing it truly?

Good question. Depends I guess. I would have to say no for most people but I do believe those people would eventually be able to work themselves up to being able to stand the emotional trauma of picturing their head being lopped off without being so traumatized, and actually making yourself believe it had happened. But we are all built different, emotionally, and so I can't whether or not you will ever be able to "live" that experience as vividly as I did.
