Michaelangelica Posted August 17, 2011 Author Report Posted August 17, 2011 Lab-Grown Sperm Healthy mice are born from germ cell precursors grown in vitro. By Cristina Luiggi | August 4, 2011 1 Comment Link this Stumble Tweet thisISTOCKPHOTO.COM, RAYCHELDEPPEFor the first time, researchers have produced healthy mice offspring using sperm derived from precursor cells generated in vitro. The achievement was made possible through the development of a highly efficient protocol for generating the sperm precursors from mouse embryonic stem cells. An aspect of germ cell biology that the new protocol may inform, for example, is the mysterious process of epigenetic reprogramming, Saitou said. “Only in the germ cells there is this very interesting editing of epigenetic information that happens to make a totipotent zygote.”http://the-scientist.com/2011/08/04/lab-grown-sperm/ Quote
geko Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 Males are aggressive, take unnecessary risks and are anti-social. Jails are full mainly of males who rob, murder, bash and rape. This is true. Sounds like females need to take some responsibility for the upbringing of their offspring, no? ;) Quote
fahrquad Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Without males science, medicine, technology, agriculture and the other necessities of life would not exist including the computer and the internet you used to post your diatribe. Be grateful we are around. My wife would be very unhappy if I did not exist. Quote
