HydrogenBond Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 This is not the current convention, but arguments can be made for adding a 5th dimension to 4-D space-time, with mass defining the 5th dimension. If you look at it logically, the mass via GR will define which space-time reference is in effect. In other words, as we move along the mass axis (the 5th dimension) and increase or decrease mass, we define the new zero point for 4-D space-time. Space-time reference does not create mass, rather mass defines space-time reference. Special relativity, because reference is based on velocity or distance-time, is where the 4-D space-time, causes movement along the 5th dimension via relativistic mass. That composite point defines the final 4-D space-time reference. Quote
