alexander Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Is it wrong to eat only one of the Pop-Tarts in the package? I mean to healthy people, i understand that some people have limitations and what-not but for the majority, is it OK to eat just ONE Pop-Tart? DFINITLYDISTRUBD 1 Quote
alexander Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 IMHO, it's not ok, it's like taking oreos and only eating 1/2 the cookie, filling and one side, stick to extreemes people, either have only the filling (mmm quadruple-stuffed Oreos), or the whole cookie, nothing in the middle. Eating one Pop-Tart is like ordering a burger and having only the top bun and veggies. Either have two tarts, or you shouldn't be eating any... Quote
pamela Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 well now, you seemed to have forgotten what we learned today-sharing:)if you bust open a package in front of me, you had better eat only one and hand me the other, Or this tart will pop you!:D DFINITLYDISTRUBD 1 Quote
alexander Posted July 23, 2009 Author Report Posted July 23, 2009 Yes, ofcourse, for you, i think we'll be willing to sacrifice both tarts, whatever it takes to make you happy :hihi: That said, still, both tarts are eaten at the end, and in the end, is that not what man had hoped for since he first glimpsed at the shiny package of Pop-Tarts, one night after grocery shopping; perhaps wondering if the universe was much like that very package he was now holding in his hands, with some trepidation, perhaps wondering what metaphysical implications tearing the package apart would have, or if using scissors to make a near perfect incision for the content extraction was far too controlled for the content's entropy to remain true? Sometimes i wonder if i take things a bit too far... Quote
Tormod Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 It is of course not only wrong but also immoral, since we don't even have pop tarts in Norway. You need to share with the rest of the world. Quote
carlton-temple Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Excuse my ignorance but what exactly is a "pop-tart", the very name rather suggests something that my grandmother would definitely not approve of never mind eating; be it one or more! By the sound of it, these type of things should be left to the lower classes and not be mentioned in these lofty circles.P.S. Tea is at four. DFINITLYDISTRUBD 1 Quote
pamela Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 hehehe!Well carlton, a pop tart is really just junk food with about zero nutritional value, consisting of a weak jam like substance surrounded by an attempt at pastry.Toasting them helps, but most people grab them on the fly as a means of a quick breakfast.Definitely something you would not serve at High tea time, however, a secret stolen pleasure, when no one is observing, Unless of course, you are hanging out with Alexander and he is your partner in this crime of junk food hoarding. Not only would your grandmother disapprove, but your Mayor, (BTW how is the Mayor?), would look upon you with utter disdain;) Quote
alexander Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 if health is the aim, then eating even 1 pop-tart is wrong.exactly, but if you are already having one, might as well go the whole way. Also i dont think pop-tarts ever spoil, they become hard as a rock and a pain to eat, but never really "spoil"... I dont know of any bacteria or fungus crazy enough to grow on them, do you? Quote
Turtle Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 exactly, but if you are already having one, might as well go the whole way. I dont know of any bacteria or fungus crazy enough to grow on them, do you? yep; in for a penny, in for a pound as the ol' saying goes. i always gobble them both as fast as i can chew so the preservation time i gave was only hypothetical. eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die. :bouquet:  Quote
carlton-temple Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Pamela & Turtle. Thanks for the information Re: objects "pop-tarts" They sound ghastly, I'm not surprised Kellogs shares are down. Could these "objects" be safely fed to the deserving poor, and, due to their alleged bacterial inhibiting nature could they also be used as a parasiticide ?(The Mayor is well Pamela, I will inform him of your interest though I warn you he is a convinced bachelor). Miranda Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Perhaps they should just make pop-tarts in singles instead of doubles One is usually enough to satiate my pop-tart craving for at least a little while :bouquet: Quote

Could these "objects" be safely fed to the deserving poor, and, due to their alleged bacterial inhibiting nature could they also be used as a parasiticide ?actually, they have been known to find their way into the bags at the local foodbank, along with other false foods-it is only a matter of time,as the cries for health ring out, that soylent green will surface there in response.as far as a parasiticide, i believe the common liver fluke thrives on these- so feed the man, feed the trematode (The Mayor is well Pamela, I will inform him of your interest though I warn you he is a convinced bachelor). and i a bachelorette;) Quote

alexander Posted August 5, 2009 Author Report Posted August 5, 2009 mmm delicious... Um yes, so here we uncover a quintessential problem with out society :) Let me just break your mind real quickly here :) ready, set, go:This feeling (of eating only one pop-tart) is driven by the atrabilious conceit of people that haughtinessly cribellate pseudo-equitable ideas of salubrious nature, concerned about their palpitating equilibrium of the consonance of their diurnal sustenance.... Enjoy :) Quote
