Hi i am planning on building a sauna using cordwood construction techniques. I am fasinated by the way that buildings that were done a long time ago could tell when the solistices were happening. for example the new port tower.

Does anyone have an links on how to orientate a building to take advantage of this or how to figure out where to put a window to capture the moons northern rising alignment?

I am really looking on how to plan on where to put in windows to capture the suns rays at certain times, but i have been having a real hard time finding any plans or ways people have done it in the past.

my loc is to help with figuring out the proper angles.
