freeztar Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Should Hypography have a forum dedicated to Plant Sciences? This would include topics related to Botany, Agriculture, Horticulture, Gardening, etc. Quote
Buffy Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 A whole top-level forum like "Physical Sciences" or a main-level forum like "Biology?" "Botany?" Every year, back come Spring, with nasty little birds yapping their fool heads off and the ground all mucked up with plants, :phones:Buffy Quote
lemit Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 How about "Plant and Soil Science," to include Terra Preta, biochar, and all the things my best friend and I can come up with. For a long time, I've wanted to see Biological Sciences separated from Physical Sciences. With 25 years of library experience, I think I'd be able to sort them out fairly easily, using LC classifications. Uh, I guess I'm volunteering for something. My late father always told me to never volunteer for anything. Of course, he was always on any board he could get onto. Maybe he spoke from experience. --lemit Quote

It may also attract new members interested in this increasingly important area. Quote
freeztar Posted October 25, 2009 Author Report Posted October 25, 2009 A whole top-level forum like "Physical Sciences" or a main-level forum like "Biology?" "Botany?" Every year, back come Spring, with nasty little birds yapping their fool heads off and the ground all mucked up with plants, :eek_big:Buffy I was thinking a subforum of biology would be best, though it seems others are of the opinion of a main-level forum. I think TP deserves it's own main-level forum, but it could easily be coupled with horticulture, agriculture, botany, etc. I tried doing that once, making every minute count. Gave me a headache! maikeru Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Definitely. Seems like most of us are gardening or plant nuts. :hihi: Quote
Ganoderma Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 even a subforum would do, if not a "real" one :Music: BrianG 1 Quote
sanctus Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 It looks like someone has to create this subforum of biology then. Oh no, I should have learned something from: Uh, I guess I'm volunteering for something. My late father always told me to never volunteer for anything. Of course, he was always on any board he could get onto. Maybe he spoke from experience. --lemit Quote
freeztar Posted November 10, 2009 Author Report Posted November 10, 2009 If you make it, I'll help move threads there. :P I've changed my mind a bit. I like lemit's idea of a "Plant and Soil Science" subforum under Earth Sciences. We could then merge the TP subforum or leave it separate. (or maybe a sub-subforum?) Quote
