paigetheoracle Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Is there any evidence to suggest that people from hot climates, where snow and ice never form, are more likely to fall on the ice and injure themselves, than people more used to these conditions?:hihi: Quote
Cedars Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 At first. But they tend to learn from their mistakes. I think they are more of a risk to self (and others) when they are driving in snow/ice. Quote
LaurieAG Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 The evidence would have to be something like a representative survey made in a cold and icy country that asked 3 main questions; Are you from a hot climate (A-Y/N) how many times have you encountered ice today (:naughty: and how many times have you fallen down © on this ice. If A-YC/A-YB > A-NC/A-NB then the proposition is True and If A-YC/A-YB <= A-NC/A-NB then the proposition is False Quote
