paigetheoracle Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Life is problem solving. By this I mean every day presents problems for us to deal with and death creates mystery because it is full of unfinished business. Any unanswered question is dead - taken to a conclusion, it remains alive as it moves us on to the next problem and the next, ad infinitum. Problem solving is what keeps us alive in other words and giving up is dying, leaving others to figure out what happened and would have happened, had we lived into old age. Death also discloses itself as anything unfinished in life (existence): We keep history/ prehistory alive, by sifting the evidence (NCIS etc. as paleontology/ anthropology and science in almost any form).
