sanctus Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 in some "practical applications" I had to do in my study I found myself doing spectroscopy. Now I'm writning my raport and a question has arisen, what is the efficacity of the detectctors I used? A search in internet and in the books by glenn F. Knoll and W.R. Leo showed me that either I can't find it or nobody has caracterized detectors in this way.Just to be clar I used a NaI detector (therefore a scintillation based detector) and a Germanium detector (semi-conductor) and by efficacity I mean the percentage of incoming photons that is detected. So does anyone know some references on that subject? Thanks for all answers. Quote
C1ay Posted April 11, 2005 Report Posted April 11, 2005 In search of a synonym Merriam-Webster lead me to efficacy. From there I did a search on Germanium detector efficacy vs NaI detector efficacy that turned up a number of hits. Perhaps you will find them useful. Quote
