paigetheoracle Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 I have noticed of late that my migraines have moved from the left hemisphere seemingly to the right (Left side of my neck used to swell, now it's the right). What brain functions that occur on the right as opposed to the left, could explain this change of focus? Quote
noexpert Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 This may be a bit late, but Vox posted a video of a presentation by Jill Bolte Taylor called "My Stroke of Insight" or something close to that. I believe it could answer your question quite well. Quote

I believe it could answer your question quite well. Not that late - good call! It might explain my stroke of insights too! (Migraines are mini-strokes in my opinion). What they do for me, is stop me dead in my tracks and put me in observer mode or meditative state, rather than rushing around like a headless chicken (too busy to stop and stare/ question reality). The only thing is that I have to kick start my life to get out of it - like shocking the heart to start it again. Quote
