While we do not have DNA that link birds to dinosaurs, we do have DNA that link to the next best thing: bird DNA are most related to crocodile DNA.

 

Good point. And with that link comes a host more morphological comparisions between croc's and dino's.

 

There's still a good (kinda) chance that we will find dino DNA, or at least a good partial DNA. That would dispel any doubts, but I'm pretty sure most authorities are convinced of the link.

actually i wouldn't be suprised if dino DNA did turn up in the near future......recently soft tissue has been found in the middle of a fossilised dino bone...
